“Religion, Iconography and Objectification”

Andrew Wilkinson is an international photographer and artist who works at the intersection between art and commerce. Through his art Andrew addressed issues of religion, iconography and objectification in surprising and often humorous ways. He was among the presenters at the first Ignite Princeton March 2, 2010. His topic, Religion, Iconography and Objectification, explored the power of brands and religious icons in ways that question the power of both as well as the way in which the everyday may become imbued with iconic power when presented through new materials or scale. His collaboration on the “”Candy House”” project has to be seen to be believed!
