Ignite Talks: Ask Me Anything
Ignite Talks: Ask Me Anything is a live, online forum for our global community to connect with the leadership team at Ignite HQ on a regular basis and in real-time. Join an Ask Me Anything to meet the HQ team, learn about upcoming events, ask questions, and get a peak at Ignite Talks plans for the future. This is a great way to stay connected and energized. It’s also a great place to point others who are interested in learning more about Ignite Talks—whether they are wanting to give a talk, volunteer, or join or form an event team. More connection, more community, more feedback, more engagement, and more support are the goals in mind.
Here’s what you need to know:
What: Ignite Talks: Ask Me Anything is a live, monthly, online event hosted by Ignite Talks HQ. Hosts will give brief updates on what’s happening with the organization and then open it to questions from the audience.
When: It’s held on the third Tuesday of each month (barring holidays) at 8 AM Pacific Time. The event lasts about 30-45 minutes, depending on the number of questions.
Where: Twitter Spaces. Check our website at www.ignitetalks.io for the link to join. The link changes every month, and is updated two weeks before each live event. The link will become live at the start of the event. YOU MUST JOIN FROM YOUR PHONE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE OR ASK A QUESTION. This is a Twitter Spaces requirement. You can still join from a computer, but you won’t be able to activate a microphone.
Who is hosting: The folks at Ignite HQ lead the event. Sometimes we invite guest speakers from community chapters to talk about organizing & leading chapters or speaking at Ignite events.
Who is the audience: It is open to the general public and is designed with everyone in mind: Ignite leaders, organizers, speakers, and just anybody who wants to learn about Ignite Talks. You do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience to join; just an enquiring mind.
How to participate: If you join from your phone through your Twitter app, you can ask questions and participate through chat or by turning on your microphone during the session when we open it to questions.
What if I can’t make the live event? We will record the events and post the recording on Twitter afterwards.
Can I submit a question if I can’t make the live event? Yes. Email us with your question and specify that you have a question for our AMA (Ask Me Anything).
